Santisuk English School Purpose Statement

SES is both an effective evangelistic tool and a high-quality conversational English educational center. We will use methods that are creative, wide reaching, relationship oriented, need based, sacrificial, efficient, and self-sustaining in Thailand that engage and empower Thai Christians to reach the Thai. We ultimately exist to glorify God by being a significant bridge building tool enabling God to transform lives and assisting Peace Fellowship Church to reach N.E. Bangkok for Jesus Christ. History of Santisuk English School

Santisuk English School (SES) was started in March 1993 around a ping-pong table in the garage of Steve and Nopaluck Cable’s home in Santinivet Village on Ladprao Road in the Bangkapi area of Bangkok. The first students came from Ramkamhang University. After about a year and a half, a town-house in Santinivet Village was rented and served as the first English center. Tuition in the beginning was a modest 300 baht. We have never advertised on TV, radio, or in newspapers. Some American friends began helping with the teaching in 1995 and now we have American teachers every session. SES is in its 6th location. We moved there in August 2005. Each year we register nearly 1,000 new students. We average 170 students in classes every session. We now also have branch centers in Ladkrabang and Silom. SES has a scholarship program called “Leadership for the New Millennium” or LFNM. Over the years, 30 different SES students have been selected to go to the U.S. to observe and interview various American business, community, and political leaders. LFNM was held in 2001, 2002, 2005, 2012 and 2015. The scholarship recipients are now working as administrative staff and teachers in SES, all around Thailand, and across the globe today. LFNM scholarships include airfare, housing with American families, food, all transportation costs in the US, and all entrance fees to all activities. You can see what a recent LFNM team did on the Santisuk English School LFNM Photos 2015 page.
